Here at Bloc we're doing things differently. We're taking the traditional approach to shading, and quite literally, throwing it out the window. With innovation at the heart of everything we do, we're looking at new and exciting ways to decorate windows.
But innovation takes more than an idea. It takes a whole team to bring it to life, to put it into reality, to enable it to push the boundaries and empower the possibilities. A team with skills in research, design, quality, finance, sales, marketing, HR, IT and production. They're all innovation enablers. Without the team our innovation can't open doors and allow us to drive change in our industry and make an impact on solar shading on a global scale. And at Bloc we do this - the innovation, the design and the creation- right here in our state of the art facility in Mid Ulster.
But we realise that innovation, design and creation need nurturing. That's why at Bloc we're putting people at the centre. To enable innovation, we need to enable our people, allowing them to work with both collaboration and autonomy, and giving them opportunity, encouragement and support to maximise their potential.
We are proud to be an Investors in People employer, and actively assist employees to develop themselves, both through training and providing opportunities. Currently we have employees furthering themselves in courses at both the North and North West Regional Colleges. We also work closely with Invest NI, providing employees with the opportunity to travel to USA, Europe and China, and training that enhances their practical skills and knowledge.
